With Rabbi Jill Zimmerman
Tuesday August 4, 2026
4:00–5:00 pm PT / 6:00–7:00 pm CT / 7:00–8:00 pm ET
The world is heavy right now. Many of us are arriving at this High Holy Day season carrying more than we have words for.
In this free one-hour workshop, Rabbi Jill Zimmerman invites you to pause, take stock of what you’re carrying, and discover that the full arc of the Jewish season — from Tisha B’Av through Elul, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and all the way to Sukkot — was designed to hold exactly this.
This event serves as an introduction to the Pathways to Healing High Holy Days Spiritual Preparation course.

The world is heavy.
Your soul deserves tending.

Anyone who wants to enter the High Holy Day season with intention and depth — especially those feeling the weight of this past year and longing to find their way back to center. It is taught from a Jewish spiritual and mindfulness perspective, and everyone is welcome. You don’t need to be Jewishly knowledgeable.
You’ll leave with one text, one practice, and one question to carry you into the season.
This session is offered live so you have real-time with Rabbi Jill, a creative and warm teacher who relates to people at all stages of their spiritual journey.

Why a Healing Season?
Judaism has always known something about healing: it doesn’t happen all at once, and it doesn’t happen alone. Our tradition gives us a whole season for it — weeks of gentle turning, ancient words, and community — designed to mend what this year has worn thin. This workshop is where that healing season begins.

A Season, Not a Deadline
Healing is not the same as being fixed. It’s the slow return to yourself — and our tradition wisely gives it a season, not a deadline. From Elul’s tender searching through the sukkah’s open sky, these weeks are ancient medicine for what we’re carrying. We’ll begin that healing together, one text, one practice, one breath at a time.
