Go Forth With An Open Heart – Lech Lecha*

Rabbi Jill

Go –
Go with a free heart, with open palms, with no expectations;

Trust –
That what is shown to you is exactly what you need to learn, even though at first glance, it may not seem so…

Be –
In the mystery of what is unfolding before your eyes;

Know –
That real truth is not embedded in a particular place, but travels with you, and will be discovered in unlikely paces;

Believe –
In the kernel of desire, the longing for connection, that made you move in the first place.

You think you know where you are going, but the path winds around, and
you will spend time in the wilderness –

You will experience the hot sun of the desert,

You will almost lose your breath for climbing up the many mountains;

But also, as you round the corner, on this journey,

You will see an oasis,
You will rest in a tent and be fed by strangers,

You will drink from the ever-flowing Well,
You will laugh, you will cry, you will sing and you will tremble –

You will soar.
