There are several images of this time of year – the Jewish High Holy Days – that float in my consciousness. Like background music, they hum.
First, there is Rabbi Margaret Wenig’s image of God as an old woman, waiting for her children to come home for Rosh Hashanah. She sits at her kitchen table, patiently hoping they will return. She is kind, forgiving, and welcoming.
The other image is of the rush of salmon returning home to their birthplace in Issaquah, Washington, where we raised our children. Each year, we leaned over the railing at the salmon hatchery overlooking the river, watching them pile over each other with their deep instinctive drive to come home.
The call is: come home. Come back to your source.
Since 2020, our community has been holding our High Holy Day Gatherings for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur online. We have created a warm and authentic Jewish community for people all over the world.
Everyone is welcome. These are not traditional services. We bring together meaningful texts, song, and reflection in a more spacious way โ fewer obligatory prayers, more room for music, poetry, depth, and meaning.

In this time of profound fragility and fragmentation, it is important to find your people โ fellow seekers with good hearts.
We come together to listen, to heal, to root ourselves again in what matters most.
The High Holy Days are not only rituals of return โ they are lifelines.
This year, your presence matters. Each of you strengthens our circle.
๐ Join us for these Days of Awe. Come as you are. Every soul is welcome.
